A long-established store specializing in sake, shochu, and mirin that has continued for 15 generations since the Edo period!

Baba Honten Sake Brewery was founded as a kojiya in the late Edo period. In the past, there were more than 30 sake breweries in Sahara, but this is one of the only continuing sake breweries. The building has been reinforced and repaired, but you can see the buildings and tools that have continued since the Edo period.Among the sakes handled by Baba Honten Sake Brewery, the best sake is Daishinjo's "Kaishusanji".It is said that this sake was named because Katsu Kaishu stayed for several months in the Meiji era.

The oldest sake is "Kouzen" because it started from Kojiya. Among the many products, the most popular product is pure rice sake "Suigousakari" which does not contain brewing alcohol. However, recently Mirin's "Saijyoshiromirin" has become famous and is one of the many award-winning products.

In addition, shochu "Teboke" is very rare, so you should check it out. This is because "Teboke" is made from re-fermented and distilled sake and mirin lees. Only Baba Honten Sake Brewery uses this mirin lees to make shochu! Mirin lees have a palatable and sweet aroma. This product unique to Baba Honten Sake Brewery is a masterpiece that you should definitely drink.
